Troubleshooting: Why Isn’t My Card Working?

If your V1CE card isn’t working as expected, don’t worry! Here’s how to troubleshoot common issues and get it working again.

1. Check the Card’s Features
V1CE cards work with both NFC and QR code technology. Make sure you’re using the right method for sharing:

  • Tap-to-Share (NFC): Works with most modern smartphones. 📱
  • QR Code: Great for older phones or devices without NFC. 🔍

If one method isn’t working, try the other.

2. Make Sure NFC is Enabled on Your Device
If you’re using tap-to-share, NFC must be turned on.

  • On iPhone: NFC is always on (iPhone 7 and newer). Just hold the top of your phone near the card. 
  • On Android: Go to Settings > Connections and ensure NFC is turned on. 

3. Hold the Card Correctly
When tapping the card:

  • On iPhone, hold the card near the top of the phone.
  • On Android, hold the card near the center or back of the phone.
    Move the card slowly and avoid waving it too quickly. ✋

4. Check Your QR Code
If you’re using the QR code:

  • Make sure it’s visible and not scratched or damaged.
  • Use your phone’s camera to scan it.
    If the QR code doesn’t scan, clean the card and try again. ✨

5. Log In to Your V1CE Account
Ensure your card is linked to your V1CE account. Log in at https://app.v1ce.co.uk to check:

  • Is the card activated?
  • Is your profile updated? 🖊️

6. Try Another Phone
If the card isn’t working on one phone, test it with another. This helps identify if it’s a phone-related issue.
