How to Fix Error 500 in V1CE: Quick Guide to Solving Missing Action Links

How to Fix Error 500

If you see Error 500 while using V1CE, it usually means there’s a missing action link in your profile or Linktree. This can happen when a customer creates their profile but forgets to assign an action to a link. The preview might look fine, but when they try to open it, the error shows up. Let’s go over how to fix it! 😊

What Does Error 500 Look Like?

When Error 500 appears, you’ll see something like this on the screen:

This error occurs when the action link is not assigned. You’ll notice that in the dropdown, it says “Select Action” instead of having a specific action linked.

How to Fix It

Here’s how you can help the customer depending on how you’re communicating with them:

Zoom Call Fix

If you're on a Zoom call, ask the customer to share their screen. This will let you fix the issue together and explain everything clearly at the same time.

  • Ask them to assign an action to the link that currently doesn’t have one.
  • Check if there’s a link with no action attached—make sure everything is set up properly.

Ticket Fix

If you're working through a ticket, you can send the customer a link to the knowledge base article to see if that solves the problem. If they still have the issue, ask them to give you shared access to their account by sending a link.

Once you’ve fixed the issue, make sure to explain why it happened. Use screenshots to show them where the field was empty and how that caused the error.

Preventing Future Issues

To avoid Error 500 in the future, make sure the customer assigns actions to all their links and double-checks that all fields are filled. This will help everything run smoothly! 😊
