How are the Metal-Hybrid Cards made?
Our Metal Hybrid cards are as described "hybrid" cards, meaning they are of two different materials. The card's front side is made of metal, coated black, which we then engrave your desired logo onto.
The metal face of the card bonds to a PVC backing. This backing is necessarily due to the nature of the NFC coil within the card. The metallic NFC coil's signal cannot read through a secondary metal barrier. Hence, the PVC backing allows this signal to be easily transmitted.
In this case, if a QR code is required, the backside will be printed using a UV printer.
